WHAT UKRAINE NEEDS NOW IS A PEACE PLAN

wrote the German Bundeskanzler Merz Some ideas from Holland Dr Marlies ter Borg A ceasefire with 20km broad no-mans land on both sides of present lines, monitored by drones and boots on the ground - UN Peacekeeping not NATO. . With contributions of the UN Securiry Council's members: UK, France, China, Pakistan, Algeria and Denmark and commanded by the 4 star Ukrainian General Valerii Zaluzhnyi. He pushed back the initial Russian attack and is now Ukraine's Ambassador in London. This General speaks both Ukrainian, Russian and English, knows the ground and local culture, and has the experience and moral stature to head the UN Peace Corps on the ground. The Security Council member USA would be monitoring the skies. The arrest warrant for Putin can be cancelled by the UN. It is uncertain that banks can and will transfer the assets of Putin to who? and on which grounds? A quicker solution is to thaw these assets and at the same time set up a UN Fund for the Ukraine people, headed by prince Harry and the Dutch princess Laurentien. A well organised non-corruptible fund for the war widows, invalids, demobilised veterans, the homeless and the deprived farmers. Putin and Trump and other wealthy individuals would be invited to donate a substantial amount to this fund. A good location for a first informal round of relaxed talks could be Windsor Castle. The hurdle of Ukrainian membership of NATO could be solved if members who are also in the Security Council - UK , Denmark France and US - would unilaterally and individually declare that they will oppose NATO membership for Ukraine, knowing that by this they can bring peace to the tormented Ukrainian people. Peace in Ukraine is possible if we reset our military mindset. DOI: . 10.29121/granthaalayah.v13.i7.2025.6267 marliesterborg@gmail.com
